First, a word from Charlene (the wife)
First blog post. We would like for this to be a place to type out and somewhat voice the things that sit down for tea in our heads. A form of "talk therapy" if you will. We do encourage intellectually stimulating conversation, comments, and replies to topics discussed. The goal we have is to help people. One of the ways we help people is through the energy healings of Reiki. We are constantly learning new ways of energy healing and other modalities that stand out to us or resonate with us. So naturally the majority of what will come up here will be about energy work and helping people but there are many topics we are looking forward to covering, including the fact that our full time main job is raising six kids!! So with all that being said, I hand you over to Graham..
Welcome to the beginning. What this is and where it goes is currently in fate's hands, and we invite you along for the ride. We fully expect some people to have some things to say about what is posted, and look forward to it. Three rules apply. Is it helpful? Is it true? Is it kind? Then let's do this. Open up and be honest, and see if we can't learn from each other.
So. Let's start with who I am. My name is Graham. My wife, Charlene, and I started Temple Polish. We are certified, licensed, and insured Reiki Masters. We offer our services on our website to help as many people as we can. Through the week I install hardwood floor, and on the weekends I most certainly do not. Certainly isn't the sort of thing one does for fun, and it's generally best not to think about.
I have had a lifelong love of information and storytelling. I feel it's important we help each other, and deeper than that, I feel it is essential to the advancement of the soul. We'll get to that, I'm sure. I was introduced to energy healing through Spiritism. We might get to that. It introduced me to some energy techniques that after further study led to Reiki. I progressed through all 3 levels, and am now eyeballing shamanism. I feel that all methods have strength, and am fascinated by the common threads, and potential of each.
I like movies, read vicariously through my wife, love motorcycles. Enjoy cooking, and love eating. Video games. But I love conversation. I enjoy it when I can ask questions of someone with a different opinion. Not to patronize or argue, but to gain insight. To connect. My mother told me there are two important aspects to communication. To understand, and to be understood. If I don't understand, I clarify. If I am not understood, ask me to clarify. I don't expect anyone to agree, and won't be upset if you don't. I do look forward to the discussion.
I'm gonna put some stuff together and be gently reminded to post it here. In the mean time, if you have thoughts or questions or a topic you need info on, comment or email us. I have very little info on world wars, or animal husbandry. Roman history is right out. Absolutely no questions about your floor.
Thank you for stopping in, and thank you for your time. With love, I say good day.
